Neither me nor my opponent have not decided rather cared about win and the game continues.......................

In any game there is a winner and there is a loser. Of course there are games which become draw without giving room for one or the other. There are different ways in becoming a winner in a game.

1. You play well, and you win it.
2. You and your opponent played well, but you win it.
3. You didn't play well, but the opponent made you to win.
4. Neither you nor the opponent played well, but you still win it.

and Now, I have to win it.... and I desperately need this win. I didn't played well, thinking that opponent will give me a chance to win................ Lets see who wins..............

Look at this link. You will know what went wrong and I will tell you what is wrong now. Nothing wrong with me... Environment is not co-operating to do right things. I hate it..... and hate it forever.........

That was my stupidity to say eureka in the last post. Some things are worthless if they end normally or so easily. Lets come to point, who is responsible for what, I guess everyone....It should be otherwise....we cant keep blaming others..before that we should blame ourself.............confused.............Hmmm this is what I wanted you to be.................... :).

Do you know why people say Eureka? when they are in high spirits. I am done here..........I am happy .............

Things are not as they shoould be :)

At least few of them I have complete from the list I have given here. Rough draft of the thesis is out. Work is communicated to one conference and one journal. Now all set me to relieve from the institute, which is not easy though. One more meeting is still pending. Got some other offer (which I have not mentioned any where in the blog) apart from Morgan Stanley. I was fixed to choose one from the other, but again in dilemma which one to opt. Other thing, I have committed myself to some other work whose results are unpredicted for the next one month. Hoping to get done things in smooth fashion without any risks.

Who is your *****?

Hmmm.......... this is the one that you should have got addicted to answer by now here. What the hell that they have to do with *****, when we are talking about something else. There are lot many scenarios, that reminds me about this question during my stay here. Hmm what not from security guard to the attender, from CCW chairman to Dean Students, whomever you meet on any issue without that is really connected in any way to ***** will end up with the above question.

• I have been to CCW office on the issue of having excessive mess bill for a month, I happened to meet chairman, he ended up asking this question (which is not at all related).
• Went to ICSR to collect friends cheque on behalf of me. It got delayed for more than week. I asked the reason for the delay. Thts it again same question...........
• Went to DS office on the issue that my friend parked his bike, when he is leaving to home in the hostel premises. Security locked it and sent us to there.........again the same question......

Anyway why should one bother about *****, when the issues are not actually related. GOD knows.............

Last days of My (M.S) Life -1

Last days of My (M.S) life are approaching. The first step towards it is over yesterday/today. Lets see how it goes................

Became mad............

Seriously, I became mad from last one weak. I don't know what I am doing (except blogging !!!!). I am not doing what I am supposed to do. I tried figuring out the cause for this. Then I get to know these are not consequences to recent things........they are consequences for lot many things that I have done in the last two years at IIT M. All that I have to do here is research (simple to pronounce or say but bit difficult to actually do it). I am doing everything in this prestigious institute except that. I have few reasons for this...........I am not blaming anyone except GOD, who is supposed to be with me in my research life. I have few cribs abt everyone around me.
"Dont be selfish.........be helpful to others..........dont think u r GOD.........be wht u r.......dont f** others for u r sake.......". Anyway I hope GOD will give me my degree...... There are lots of things to do........but none of them are started yet.........its quite surprising even for me..........wht will I do? Lets wait and see.........I have institute seminar coming up.........and placements coming up.........research work has to sharpen up well...........more to do..................

Adi common dont give up...........this is the time that u shld be..........in high spirits.........and get the things done...........in right manner.................

M.S (by Research) in IITs - Part 2

In my first part I discussed about M.S recruitment process into IITs. This second part is all about how do you travel your M.S journey. In the first two semester you will be doing 5 courses. There will be a General Test Committee (GTC)

Busy Day.....

It was busy day(monday 14th) for me. Collecting Bonafide certificate from Academic section, Paying fee for hostel, and collecting no dues from them. Then again went back to academic section to enroll for this semester with a fine of 250/-. This time he didnt crib anything abt this. Handing some responsibilities to Others.......blah.blah................then finally i thought i would go..then actually i forgot to write movie into the Cd. It took me 1 hr tme again. I went by auto to Bus-Stand and caught the bus finally .

Very sad dayyyyyyyy

Today it was very sad day for me....started with the day in Admin building with Acadmic section staff. They were not giving a single bonafied certificate for the student in a single day. They were treating us as if we are begging from them. They dont respect the value of IIT students. They want us to bind to them and do whatever they say..................is it the way the prestigeous institutions like IITs shoud work. This is not for the first time or it is not for me...............it is through out the institution.

the total day I spent in the lab. Night after dinner, being Social Sec for the Cauvery Hostel, I have to produce the budget for the next academic year. It was totally messed up with the arguments from the inmates of the hostel opposing the Sports Sec budget (about 80,000/-). Their argument is correct if u see from one angle and so correct if u see from another angle. Lets leave it. Luckly I didnt get any bashes from the inmates opposing my budget as it was very low.

And the total day was very ******* day for me.

Critique a Research Paper

*  Part A. Briefly identify the key contributions of the paper.

• What research problem does it try to solve?
• Why is it an important problem?
• What's the proposed approach?

    * Part B. Try to find if there is any problem in the paper.

• Any problems in the assumptions?
• Any technical shortcomings, problems, or errors?
• Any problems in the experiments? Do the experimental results support the original claim?
  

    * Part C. Any idea for improvement?
           This can be the most challenging part.

M.S (by Research) in IITs - Part 1

This is for those who are keen in getting into the prestigious institute like IIT Madras for pursuing M.S (by research). First I will let you know recruitment process. First and the foremost thing is you should be a GATE qualified candidate. The cut-off percentile differs from year to year. Notification will be announced around starting of march every year. Applications can be downloaded from websites. Note that M.S (by research) is offered by only two IITs (IITMadras, IITDelhi). Application along with the DD of around Rs 250/- is to be submitted either personally or by post. The call for exam and/or interview varies every year for each department. They also look for the percentage of your undergraduate (B.Tech, B.E etc). They will intimate for exam/interview in the month April/may. Second and the most common thing is What is the pattern of Exam? What sort of difficulties in the questions?. Usually the exam pattern is multiple choice questions and the questions are as good as GATE questions. They may straight away give you some questions from OLD GATE Papers. Criteria for selecting for the interview is based on "exam score" as well as "B.Tech percentage". GATE score has nothing to do now. Usually this is they will select fifty percent of the total for the interview. The most tough part of M.S recruitment is the interview. Facing IIT Professors (for the first time) is like going for an adventurous voyage. The toughness of interview depends on the choice of research area you specify in the application form. If you are lucky enough (like me) you will be asked to choose yourself the subject that you prepared and they will ask questions only in that subject. Don't forget to go through your under graduate project one more time before coming to exam/interview. They will ask some questions from your project also. The more depth you go in answering the more impression you get and also bonus questions !!!!. If you are good enough in getting through the questions and also if the requirement for that particular Prof is there, there are more chances in getting into IIT. You will get the intimation letter in the month of July or so (but before August). thats it abt the recruitment process into IITs for M.S (by research).

PS: 1.The cut off GATE percentile varies from 90% to 99% again depending on the department.
2.The details furnished above are to the best of my knowledge ( as I got through the same recruitment process).
3. It is not compulsory that both IITs and all departments follow the same process.

My Research

After a long time I am talking about my research ( rather I would say time has forced me to do so). I am getting structed to say about my research (thts how this badguy is doing his "research"). First let me tell you wht i am doing daily in the lab.? Early morning i will come to lab at around 9AM. Starts the day by checking all mails (GMAIL, Yahoo, Rediff, CSE, DOSLab etc). If there is something in the mails badguy will start going through all the links (which are mere waste) and loses the thing wht he wants do??.. After he dont remember wht is the thing he has done in the last night (may bcoz he has short memory disease !! or he does not do anything in the nights also). After that suddenly he remembers that half of his research period is over without having done any work. Immediately he opens some PDF file and reads it (without any sort of concentration). His Friends (Bujji) research activities adds up to his frightening. He dont know wht he is doing or he dont wht he is reading????? I forgot to tell you he also reads news from Rediff (especially slides from movies), Eenadu, Hindu etc. Thats till afternoon. After having lunch these days he is coming immediately to lab bcoz of the same reason (half of research period over). But then does nothing in the lab. often he takes some cat naps in the lab while sitting in front of the system. At four clock he either goes to Cantenn for tea or to hostel (after having nice nap) as if he is tired very much with his research. Same continues till 7PM. Afte that dinner then again back to lab. He is gud writer( typer) for every thing he takes MS word and types blah....blah...blah...blah.... Thats y i am not sure i will complete ( rather i would say my mentor gives) my MS degree in three years. I think after my Pune trip to TECS week i am some wht set right with the base for my work. On the other hand this guys counterpart is doing somuch work. this badguy wont realize it you know he simply ignores it. But the desires of these guy are in sky. He wants to join in MSR. I dont how much he (badguy) is fit for this. Ok leave that badguy for a while..........we will talk about him later ..........

Note:... badguy, I , he, badboy all refers to same guy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About my Research

Hi, I am boring u with all my gf problems , isn't it. Lets switch on to my research area. I am working on project titled "Software Infrastructure for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN)". Its interesting isn't it (Yah of course !). This project is sponsered by Honeywell Technology solutions Pvt. Ltd., India. This project basically aims at providing the necessary S/W infrastructure for WSN. This include :

• Programming Language
• Middleware
• Routing Protocols
• Design Issues
• etc..

Till now I haven't progressed much in any of these areas.
